St. Peter’s by-the-Sea Church Library Collection


Mission:

Welcome to the St. Peter’s by the Sea Church Library, serving the church community members, located at St. Peter’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Bay Shore, New York.

We serve the parish, its missions and staff by collecting, maintaining and circulating resources such as periodicals, books, pamphlets and videos that aid education, ministry and spiritual growth.

We have approximately 300+ cataloged items to support the spiritual growth of the church. General information follows on our location and how to access your information. We look forward to your next visit!

Introduction:

• The collection includes all types of media, including video, DVD, compact disk and written material.

Catalog (Print and Online):

• Anyone with Internet access can learn about what is in our collection of 600+ items and where it is kept.
• For NON COMPUTER USERS, we have a complete list of Titles, Authors and Primary Subjects, which is updated quarterly. These are located on the reference shelves in a 3-ring binder.

Circulation policy

• Parishioners and Farm Members may borrow items by self-service,
• Please sign the circulation list with your name, date and contact number.
• Please consider everyone who wishes to use the library and return items after THREE weeks.
• Borrowed items may be returned during library hours by placing them on the shelf marked RETURNS.

Gifts for the Library

• Gifts to the library must fall within the library collection subject scope. The librarian and/or Father Sellery must approve them.
